Whether or not that's true, I think it's going to be pretty difficult for
the radar to catch the plane at the optimal angle on the downhill side.
Reason being that the pilot is usually trying to present the plane to the
radar on the uphill side, and does not really have a good line of sight to
do
They make weed whacker line in many thicknesses, some with edges instead of
round cross section. Running this inside some plastic Sullivan tube should
prove very slick indeed, with no lubes required. I'm talking for use in HLG's,
not anything bigger. The whacker line with 5 edges on it means
I've been working hard and getting help on getting my contest quiver back
together after Nats. Particularly getting my ICON's back together.
The ICON lite that crashed at Nats took a huge pounding, went straight in
after a full F3J launch and zoom. Jim McCarthy repaired the fuse with his

I got to use the ELV today. It worked great! You just plug the 20 gram
transmitter into a free channel, put a 9v battery in the receiver and you're
off to the races. We had a hat sucking thermal type of day here with trash
bags taking off from garbage cans and circling up into
The Kirchheim open contest is finished. Our AUS F3B guys had a lot of
butterflies and only did so-so. They each had a moment or two of brilliance
with some ugly moments. :))

Next weekend, the 9th and 10th of August is the
30th annual CRRC Soar-In, the northeasternmost major soaring contest in the US.
The contest is sanctioned by the AMA and the ESL. The format is thermal duration

Where can I find the results for the Nostalgia

Every now and then somebody makes a post on here about the terrific
support that Eric Sanders provides to Compufoil users. Here's another
one.
Some weeks ago, I moved my Compufoil from an obsolete machine to my new
laptop. It doesn't have a floppy drive, so Eric had to coach me through

I had a similar experience updating an older version of Compufoil and
loading it on my Computer running ME Windows, about a year ago. Eric
coached me through all the bugs and made sure the program was operating as
it should. This is support with a Capital S! The program is worth every
penny

We are open for registration for our second HLG contest in North
Carolina. We are using tasks and rules form the IHLGF in an attempt to
make a very interesting, competitive event and hopefully attract pilots
from all of the USA and eventually maybe other countries. We will have
an informal XC
Wondering if I was missing anything, I bought a clean, used Artemis LT. I
paid $850 with 6 new JR servos (Two 351's, four 341's) in it. This is a very
nice handling ship, but I just prefer flying my GENIE design.
If interested, let me know. $850. Will split shipping cost.
Have pics I can send.
It's a V tail. Yellow with red trim. Has a new battery in it, too and a
harness to plug into a JR receiver.
