Friday report
What a great day we had today. A bunch of people showed up despite some
very low clouds and even rain to the north of the area. The weather
improved throughout the day and by the afternoon we had some areas of
blue sky and later the sun came out and it the sky opened up.
I lost my first plane, back in '79 to a Kraft servo with four leads.
One of the four chafed away and down came the plane. Ah, those were
the days.

The old Kraft center-ground servo's are 4 wires and are electrically
different from modern 3-wire servo's. You cannot easily just rewire them.
The radios are not legal anymore although for a while, you could get new
legal RF decks, not cheap. These old Krafts lack a ton of features

I'm old enough (and have flown toy planes long enough) that I should know
this...but I forgot.
How many wires go to the servos? If it's 3 then you can still use them. If
it's 5 then you need to retire them. Even if the answer is 3 then you wouldn't
want to use them for the elevator

Darwin, thanks for the reply.
All of these servo's have 3 wires (4 pins on the plugs - but one is not
used). Will that make a difference in the compatibility
question?

I was cleaning up my bookmarks today and happened upon the KC site. I don't
remember anyone else mentioning this excellent slide show so I thought I
would point it out.

I have the Spektrum module in my 9303 for ground use, Works great, a 9303
with all the mixers if you like stick radios for boats or cars this is the
way to go. They have a module for Airtronics as well. More of these are
showing up at the RC races and work awesome.
I "hear" they are working on a ai

I was wondering about range also.
But the radio looks fantastic. And reasonably priced too!
And while there's little justification for an estabilished pilot with
multiple transmitters to buy one; if anyone does please give us a FULL
