Well, since my post from 2 years ago popped up, I might as well chime
in. We as pilots can't thank the support crew enough. Without the
dedicated folks who trek to Muncie, we wouldn't have an event. Without
their effort, it just doesn't happen. If you have ever had the

As I fly this Wednesday morning I'll be thinking of the times Butch laid
down beside me after I messed up on a flight at the NATS. Perhaps I blew
an easy landing. Butch didn't care how badly I flew. He was always
there just being nice. Johnny, I'll see you next summer in

I loved how every time Johnny would show up
at the field, he popped open the door to the truck and out would come Butch! He
would race around the place barking his fool head off just to let everyone know
the he and Johnny had arrived.

Thank every one of you for the kind words thoughts and prayers. I cannot
tell all of you how much this means to me. This has been a difficult week
for me. You see, I lost my father on Sunday and then Butch on Monday. Every
ones emails have helped.
I like to think that there never really gone,
I learned a long time ago that by coupling flaps to
ailerons the model would track better. (And yes, every
model) My first experience with this was with a slope
racer (Swift 800) with a short tail moment, and
undersized V-tail. I had trouble getting it to track
properly at different ballasted weigh

7&8 in Visalia, Ca. We will be doing the flight groupings the weekend of Aug.
25th. If you would like to enter please get your entry in ASAP. I can add
entries after the flight groups are set but your frequency choice
The 30th Annual Mid-America Soaring Championships (#7
in the OVSS Series) will be held at Jacobson Park off
Richmond Road in Lexington, KY on August 26th and 27th

coupled to ailerons, since it reduces the amount of aileron throw,
a bit, and reduces vortexes at the inner edge of the ailerons.
