I learned a long time ago that by coupling flaps to
ailerons the model would track better. (And yes, every

protection for those valuable planes. Please visit my new web site

Anybody going to Visalia and need a timer? I am on ch. 29 if you want to
share timing with me.
Let me know ASAP so we can get our names in before they set the flights
this weekend.

My understanding is that drag is reduced a bit if some flaps are
coupled to ailerons, since it reduces the amount of aileron throw,
a bit, and reduces vortexes at the inner edge of the ailerons.

I loved how every time Johnny would show up
at the field, he popped open the door to the truck and out would come Butch! He
would race around the place barking his fool head off just to let everyone know
the he and Johnny had arrived.

As I fly this Wednesday morning I'll be thinking of the times Butch laid
down beside me after I messed up on a flight at the NATS. Perhaps I blew
an easy landing. Butch didn't care how badly I flew. He was always

Muncie

their effort, it just doesn't happen. If you have ever had the
slightest inclination to

The one thing that I remember about Butch was looking in the rear view
mirror after a day at the Nats. Seeing Johnny behind me and there would
be Butch with his head out the window with the ears flying.

Heck, the Nat's wasn't "official" until Butchie had lifted
his leg and "christened" one of the main tent poles to declare that the Nats
