Anybody out there flying a full carbon Pike Perfect on JR 50MHZ? I
would be interested to know what receiver antenna placements seem to
work or not.

Hi, I have a Hitec Electron 6 receiver, brand new still in the box on ch. 42
negative shift. Asking $45.00 you pay the shipping. Ray
Having seen a bunch of nylon gear servos strip in flight on
sailplanes-ailerons & flaps, I now only use metal gear servos.
For what it's worth,
Steve

I just purchased a new JR 9303 Radio for sailplanes. Or should I say I
got the sailplane manual. Anyway I was told by a friend he remembers
seeing a quick or easy set-up guide for the radio online. I sure would
like to see it if it's out there.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

In line with what Tom said, I bought a small (5x5) machine on Ebay from a
dental supply company. Dentists use them to make retainers etc.
I need a memory card for my stylus as I have added several planes this
wibnter and would like to actually fly them :)

Jim,
I made one and it costs almost as much to make as to buy one and takes a lot of
time. I built a Hobby VAC http://www.build-stuff.com/1001plans_hobby_vac.htm
(from older plans - newer plans look better) Sold it to Mike Reno and I think
he's selling it now.

The nylon gears work great in a vibration rich environment like heli's. This
is where the SA excels. In a heli the metal gears wear quickly due to the
vibration. Our sailplanes have no vibration and the metal gears should last a
long time.

It's probably over kill but I use metal in EVERYTHING regardless of its
place on the plane. When your dealing with an airframe that costs $1200,
$1500,
$1800+ the difference cost in the servo is miniscule
I couldn't agree more!
I've recently decided to use all metal gear in my planes too.
Was some one asking about an Airtronics Olympic 650 building instruction
booklet? Found one doing some very late /early spring cleaning.. Mailed free
to who ever it was or anyone who wants it.. Brian Smith
PS.. I think I'm still Gordy's friend..
