Hi Gang,
It looks like I nmay have to be in the Ontario CA area between 5/9 and 5/13
and was wondering how close this area is to some of the slope sites such as
Parker, Cajon, Vincent, etc. I would probably have time on Saturday and
Sunday to fly. Any help on this would be greatly
Erik,
You already have one of the best adjustable tow hooks you can buy but with
your current installation you are not realize its potential. Now here is how
to do it so it will be adjustable. First off you will need to pop out the
current block and make sure that it is sanded to the contour
Regis,
Go out and find some DAP One Step Spackle. It is every bit as light as the
Hobbico stuff and will get twice as much spackle for about half the cost of
the Hobbico. Youknow you have the right stuff in your hand when you pick up
the container cause it will feel like nothing is in it.
Stefan,
Most chutes have shroud lines that run from the bottom ring that attaches to
the tow line to the top ring tht attaches to the glider. This facilitates
two things, one it allows the pull of the tow line to hold the chute closed
while launching and it also keeps the cloth of the chute
John,
Of the three you have listed I would go with the Sharon, but since you allowed for
picking my own choice as well I would have to vote for the Jaro Muller Escape. It is
more money but in this case you get what you pay for. I also have a Muller Ellipse 4
on order and may have to change

Why not have contests that developed skills akin to those
required to fly full scale aircraft?
John,
We are already having those type of contests in the US, gee I think Elmira
might come to mind.
Gordy,
Didn't somebody do an article recently in RCSD on how to mount servos in a
molded wing? The method mentioned there worked real well on my Hera.

John,
Don't let the nay sayers get to you, it is obvious that if they have time to
do all these mathmatical calculations to contradict your actual tested data
that they do not take much time to fly. I my self believe the Laser and now
know I have a long ways to go on working on my launch
Tony,
I have seen the Patton Spitfire fly but it did not work all that well. Now
before making judgement on the plane I think it was a building problem ie
incidence or something not the planes fault. Could also have been since
Gordy was at the sticks. :) I have one of the P63 King Cobras
Hi Gang,
I have had several questions regarding the poles I offered for sale on Friday
so I will try to answer a few of them here.
1.) The poles are collapsible down to a length of about 46 inches.
2.) They are 4 section poles with each section 36 inches long.
3.) They have a plastic twist
Perry,
Go to Tom Copp's website at www.f3x.com. He has both the Sieko and a Seiko
Look-A-Like listed under the Accessories page. Beware though, he has a lot
of really cool gliders for sale on that site as well.
