Get your favorite friend to come out wth a Spektrum RX with the a Spektrum Flight Log and get some data. It won't be perfect since the person holding the airplane may influence the results. But at least you can see if you have much of a frame loss or any holds. Something you can't do with

I find this discussion somewhat strange. After all isn't the term line of sight pretty self expanatory. It doesn't make any difference whether you are flying 2.4 or 72 or 35, if your bird goes behind a building, a dense tree line, a hill, etc. and you can't see it then you probably can't fly
