Here is a comment from one of my customers who does not subscribe to RCSE. His opinion differs from mine in choice of servos, but since he is actually flying his 5 Ventus2AX with these I will share it. Jim is an accomplished Imacc style pilot and flies all types of planes. John, I

It's pretty odd that you've had failures of now four servos (I think) in the exact same servo pockets. It feels like more than a coincidence. I wouldn't put ANY servo in that airplane until I figured it out. Likely that whatever you put in there next will fail to. I personally would use heav

What is the Ventus wingspan? Which manufacturer is this? Do the control surfaces have a large mass associated with them? How long are the O/P arms versus their mating link at the control surface? How long had the system been sitting idling when you first observed a noise? Most likely the first f

Hi Ben   I get my twisted wire 22 AWG from George Joy @ Peak Electronics. I use multiplex connectors. I use Unassembled Gold plated connectors from Custom Electronics.  Jo Joy  George's wife @ Peak Electronics. I cut off the factory plugs from the servos and solder direct to the harness.  I

I've had nothing but great success with Hitech digitals. My gut feel: something in the wiring or elsewhere is creating your problems. Were it the servos, you'd be hearing the same complaints from lots of other fliers. Regards, Steve >From: "Albert E. Wedworth" >Date: Thu Mar 03 10:44:30 CST 2

OK: So you buy a $1500.00 molded plane, spending money to fly it safely should not be a primary concern. You have a 5 meter 26 pound aircraft here. It will fly at high speeds.  While in theory the Hitecs should work, I would not use what you have specked out in anything over a 4 meter cl

Ive not heard so much about burnout on the 5125s as I have heard about the gears stripping, they strip if you just look at em wrong!  Perhaps there are some high resistance joints/connections in your harness/connectors/etc.  I lost several DS368s in a short time due to loose plugs/faulty con

I seem to recall that some regulators are not recommended for use with Hitec digital servos. I've had a set of 4 5245s in an Ultimate bipe for well over two years now - two on ailerons, one each on rudder and elevator (pull-pull). Power comes from a 4-cell 1200 mAh NIMH pack. -0- problems. The
