Without muddying the subject by tying 2-Meter to Nats, there has to be a
class to draw new fliers. It's one thing to say the class wouldn't
entice the elite to travel for an event, but it's closing the door on
new fliers to say they're worthless.

I fly a beat old Ruby, a two mmeter Saphire, it flys fine, catches
thermals even whebn some open class models are scratching, fits in mu old
Porsche, and I can slope it at any local hill, unlike most open class

WMSS (formerly the GVRC) has had a Two Meter Championships for over 25
years. This Summer it is on August 20-21 near Grand Rapids Michigan. It
has always been a MON on Man event. It inspired the Nats MOM format. Just
ask Jim Thomas or Mike Stump.

You just gave me an idea for flying 2 meter. I have a number of hand launch
planes just sitting around, including my original Photon. It's good looking
enough to qualify. Let's see, a little tape on tow hook, a baby sized skeg
and voila, I've got an 11 ounce (undersized) 2 meter.
