There are two conflicting trains of thought here. One is that if you want to see the list thrive and not die out, it's better to at least post SOMETHING, even if it's not the most exciting flash bulletin in the world, in order to generate activity and "keep the conversation going", so to speak. T

In my case I subscribe to the digest version of 10 or 12 lists. I don't read them on my employers time, I do it after work, at home. So when a particular group is just too inept, too dumb or too inconsiderate to simply highlight a small part of the text before hitting the "reply" or worse
