Just some comments from the sideline..
Here's my understanding of our current (but largely unwritten IIUC)
way of working.
The word here is "unwritten". This is where is the problem with loads of apache
project. Its the few privileged who decides what is a "rule" or
"coding conduct
Me t.. :-) Just too add my two cents :-) I would rather see a 3
mos release cycle then
mega big releases.. cos often times bugs i found were in customer site
and manging
customers wish... and most customer don't want to run nightly build on
production. This
is the case in enterprise segment. S
cker howto its a cool feature..

Just wondering if there any plans for 1.2 release? nearby ? far away :-)
My argument here is mainly for SOLR-167 (Synonom) and Lucene 2.1
Off course SOLR-20 would be nice if it was done but thats another story :-)

I was really hoping that this patch will make it to trunk soon. I been using it
By the way, for many speakers its a classic dilemma to have folks,
especially those that didn't attend the event itself, to request
slides. The best speakers speak way more than their slides say, so
you miss a lot by simply viewing slides.
I fully agree. But something is better then nothing :-)
