You need an SPK-package to be able to install LMS manually on your Syno.

The port is indeed part of the config that comes with the package! When
installing a package, Synology checks if this port is free to use. If
already in use, the install will fail.
Port 9000 was once used by Surveillance Station but is free to use now.
Surveillance Station moved to 9900 and 9901

- That's correct. There is no other LMS available in DSM4.2. So the
beta channel won't show another version.
- Yes, you can. I build packages for DSM4 5 and 6 to keep LMS up to
date on our Synology. There is a package available for your DS209.
Some plug-ins are deprecated
You server log shows that LMS is running. There are issues when using an
anti virus program. Disable the AV and check again.

That a normal cpu load during scanning, most of it would be Perl
process. Slimserver is normally a few %.
What other processes are running. Do you have photo station installed?
Are photo's scanned?

This server ( I think you mean the DS216se) is not that powerfull and
could cause some problems when running multiple tasks. Check the server
cpu load first. If

Hi Guy,
What squeezebox player are you using?
What Synology NAS do you have?
What DSM version is installed?
What version of LMS are you running?
what kind of files are you playing(MP3, FLAC, ALAC)?
Can you access your player using the Webui?
Greetings,
Martin

Don't miss the power button really. I use the power button in the webui.
Configured the button in settings-> music system-> audio-> Power on
Resume to stop. Another workaround ;-)

You could change some settings in My Music. Take a look at
'Compilations' and the filter on contributor role. See if that does the

empty for singles? My interpretation of the Album tag is the name under
which the single/album is released. In case of a single, Album title and
track title are the same.

Why so you have an artist called 'diverse artiesten' in the first place
when LMS can take care of this. I have several albums of Hitzone

First start would be look at the Android side. Remove the app and reboot
device. Install app again.
Second: check in DSM settings if any ip's are blocked. Look for
conflicting rules. Or add a rule for LMS and all internal IP addresses.
