If I were you, Id consider abandoning LMS in that rather ancient SSOTS
environment.
There is QLMS now, where updating is much easier to handle and with a
more modern environment.
Please check out this Forum.

check the server.log

Sorry. This cited snippet was for LMS in QNAP. I dont know if yours
needs the SSOTS environment and to be true, I doubt it.
How do you update your LMS? Youd need the SSODS web interface if so.

I can access the Vortexbox IP
There are also other posts suggesting a DNS problem. When you verified
you could see the UPnPbridge plugin xml file using a browser, was that
on the vortexbox or a different system? Can you check your DNS is
working OK on the vortexbox?

stream the music files through my Squeezebox which is connected direct
to my Denon AVR in the lounge room by optical cable (I hope that's the
system info you mean).
I'm more interested in what server hardware you're using,

The URL applied in the repository appears at the top of the Plugins page
"Bad repository http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...44/repo-sf.xml -
404 Not Found", but I am able to access this URL via Google and download
it to my Windows desktop.

I am also having the same problem running "Logitech Media Server
Version: 7.9.0 - 1488878280 @ Wed Mar 8 14:00:59 UTC 2017" in a
Vortexbox.
Have been trying to install philippe_44's "squeeze2upnp"
1. Use Putty to stop SSOTS. Command is: /opt/ssods4/etc/init.d/rc.ssods
stop
2. Use WinScp to get to /opt/ssods4/share/sbs/ and open
shipped-binaries
3. In shipped-binaries, change line 68 to include arch/*. It becomes
CPAN/arch/*/Compress/Raw/Zlib.pm
4. Use Putty to start SSOTS. Command is:
I have a weird issue with LMS 7.9.1 (installed on a qnap NAS) whereby I
can't install third party plugins. If I select a plugin and restart as
requested it just doesn't show up in the installed list. Scroll down and
there it is in the uninstalled list as if I hadn't done anything.
