After noticing that duplicated track was actually the one displayed on
the "now playing" screen of a group player I have uninstalled the group
player plugin. Fingers crossed.

This album hasn't even been played and the first track appears 15 times
I'm pretty sure it's a problem in your setup. Disable all 3rd party
plugins and see whether you can reproduce the issue after a full rescan.
If that doesn't show the problem, add plugins back. MIP in particular I

Well this is weird. I have just noticed these duplicated tracks. In
library.db they both have the same timestamp back in 2013. I have
another copy of library.db from April this year and the duplicate didn't
exist then. How can that happen?[image:

I seem to remember seeing a lot of lines in the log mentioning finding
"importers" after LMS restarts.

Can you share that log, and what you consider "concerning importers"?

The wierd thing is it isn't happening every time an online scan takes
place. If a scan takes place after an LMS restart would that be an
online scan? It is hard to tell from the server log.
If there's no pass for local files, then it's either a playlist only or
online scan. But what would

It seems to me that the track appearing multiple times is the last local
track played before an automatic scan takes place for some unknown
reason. Maybe the online music scan.
That would be an interesting finding. I'm seeing those scans all the
time, but just double checked again and didn't

I have to assume that the duplicate tracks always appear after playing
tracks that I often return to otherwise I wouldn't notice the issue at
all. As far as I can tell the duplicated tracks only appear for tracks
that I have recently played.
How would you play them? Go back to the album and
I have to assume that the duplicate tracks always appear after playing
tracks that I often return to otherwise I wouldn't notice the issue at
all. As far as I can tell the duplicated tracks only appear for tracks
that I have recently played.

Yep.
I have the mipmixer plugin from @cpd73 installed but haven't been using
it recently. My first post about this was only March 6th so this

Nothing obvious in there, indeed.
That's why I asked about plugins a bit further up the thread. What 3rd
party plugins are you using? Any DSTM mixers? Importers?

It has happened again. The only difference I can see in library.db is
that one track has
Added time = April 4 2021 12:49:44 AM
and the second
Added time = April 4 2021 2:11:01 PM
Do you still want to see library.db?
Yes please. And add the scanner.log, too.

This is getting annoying. Yet another track appearing twice on an album
for no obvious reason. This normally seems to happen after a track has
been played, no scan involved.[image:

Would you mind sharing your library.db and
How often do you reckon this occurs? I've never seen this (or, more
correctly, noticed this), and I use LMS almost continuously as an
enforced homeworker.
LMS 8.1.2, Perl is 5.32.0
