HI,
Ok, I found and (I think) used the right script - conf.pl to set things up. It
didn't ask me for userids for logging in, nor for passwords. *shrug*
When I go to http://mydomain/squirrelmail ... I get a 404. I know the webserver is
running, since I get my test page.
How do I *START*
In /etc/squirrelmail there is a config.php that you can edit
Or just copy this to run the squirrelmail script
/usr/share/squirrelmail/config/conf.pl
Which will walk you through the setup/configure
Also you will want to make sure that you are running IMAP server since
squirrelmail is IMAP.

Those are not very good instructions, are they? Someone should change

$ cd config

Hello Folks,
I would like to find a way to be able to have sub-folders containing
messages, to use it with SquirrelMail in an organisation as a Open and Free
replacement of the LotusNotes Mail solution (with apache and SendMail of
course...)
Thanks if you can give me a solution like another IMA

Hi,
My system is:
RH Linux 7.2
PHP 4.1.2-7.2.6
SquirrelMail 1.2.9
Apache 1.3-22
Courier-IMAP 1.4.4
Problem: I see lots of these errors when SquirrelMail starts up after
login, there is a significant pause in the display of the Folder frame on
the left side of the window. How do I fix this?

I have hacked SM for my company to produce my solution. Here are a few
of the changes I've made:
(1) I have hacked SM to work with my authentication system (a session
cookie based system, Apache::AuthTicket), but it will work with any
Apache authentication system that fills the envi

Hi there. I'm having a problem with Squirrel when I try to attach a document
higher than 3 or 4 megabytes. When I try to attach it, Squirrel reports the
following error:
