That may be true today. The earlier models had a larger orifice. If you remember the one we changed at my place had the original jet and the opening appeared to be 1.5X the size of the #3 we installed. There has been considerable discussion about this change, all either neutral or positive when

Has anyone replaced the springs on the Mike? Mine are very weak and cause the Mike to lean slightly left looking forward from the backhead. I may stretch them, but would prefer to replace them. At least the four rearward ones. That way it would help the slightly leaning backward affect also. Y

Couldn't you just use a filler bottle similar to ones supplied by Sulphur Springs and add a coupling that would mate with the fitting already on the Mikado for the tender pump? What I don't know is whether all the Aster Mikados' have the "goodall" type fitting for the tender hand pump and/or

By filling the boiler to the top with pre-heated water, then removing 10cc of water, filling the fuel tank with 70/30 butane/propane mix, and utilizing a #3 gas jet, I have achieved 30 minute run times at a very slow speed pulling four of the Hartland little plastic gondola cars on level track. R
