Dear Steve, I read your idea on how to bore out the aluminum block for the smoke box. What you are going to, rotate the bar while holding the block steady will work. But first rough out the hole/bore with drill bits if you have drill press. Then take light cuts (.003") with your boring bar. Wet

Harry, It seems like anyone who does investment casting could do that. I talked to a local caster once who mentioned having cast a bronze auto model using a Revell styrene kit as patterns. I don't know why the foam would be any different. Ask and you may find that everyone will do it. -vance-
