Hello Hans,
That bug's been around for a long time. The reason it
remains there is because I've never been able to verify
it; but I've seen the problem with the java.io.File.delete()
method in the past with other projects. Have you verified
that the bug exists in your application?

Hi,
Over the weekend I've been making some big changes to multipart
and I need until tonight to fully test and document fixes. I'd
really like this stuff to be in 1.1 beta. Would it be possible to
wait until tomorrow to release 1.1 beta? I think the changes will

The message resources work has been moved to Commons, for exactly this
reason. It's currently in the sandbox under 'resources'. The problem at the
moment seems to be that it's not at the top of anyone's list to work on

that includes me, I'm afraid), so not a lot has happened for a while.

Our customer had decided this may be worth to him, so at this point I'm

My company is using Struts pretty extensively, the upload module in

Hi Mihai,
Please check out the resources sub-folder of the
jakarta-commons-sandbox project. I haven't been
able to work on it, but there's an implementation
of XmlMessageResources there that should (hopefully,
eventually) make it into the jakarta-commons package.

Hey,
What's the proper CVS tag to use for fixes for the 1.0.1 release?
Is it STRUTS_1_0 or STRUTS_1_0_BRANCH, or something else?

Hey,
I did a
cvs rtag -b -r STRUTS_1_0 STRUTS_1_0_1 jakarta-struts, thinking
it would create a local copy of STRUTS_1_0_1 stuff on my

called STRUTS_1_0_1... is there a way to get rid of that

for any

I'm a little confused, being as I've never seen the components code. First,

Hal,
It was my understanding that since isCancelled is a protected method in the

that it was the Action developer's job to call the method.

That seems like a JAXP problem to me. Make sure you don't have parser.jar

Hi all!
I think
I'd rather not "not break it", as it's an important change. On average,
I'm usually pretty concerned about not breaking backwards compatibility.
But this is only for people who have their own implementation of
org.apache.struts.upload.FormFile, which I would assume are few and far
between.
JAXP 1.1 comes with xalan 2.0 as a reference implementation for TraX, the
set of JAXP interfaces for doing XSLT transformations. Being as this is an
important addition, and the XSL functionality I'd like to add to Struts for
1.1 is based on it, I'd hope that Struts 1.1 won't be based on JAXP 1.0
