A few years ago I made an IRC plugin that ran cmds after you logged
into a specific server. I used it for basically logging me into a
password protected channel with irc key and username. I believe this
was before pidgin implemented this option for irc channels (to store

When using Pidgin, the Emoticons don't always send properly, it ends up as
text on the other end. For instance when two Pidgin users have the same set
of Emoticons selected, everything works perfect. When two Pidgin users have
a different set of emoticons selected, they will only end up as text.
How do you use File Transfer on Pidgin? Just asking.

I did not find any information on my question. I have a new computer and
just installed Pidgin 2.6.2. On my other computer I had Pidgin 2.6.1
installed. In versions 2.6.1 and prior I was able to view the idle status
of my buddy list right in the chat window. I do not see that happening in
My father and aunt would like to be able to three-way chat with me. I
set up a chatroom for this purpose. Both my father and my aunt are AOL
users, thus they have e-mails that end @aol.com. We "talk" one on one
using Pidgin daily. I invited my father to enter the new chatroom and it

I have three desktop pc's running windows Vista Home Premium x64 that
are loosing their contacts in the Buddy List.
Two of the three will work again if you just close Pidgin and re-open
it. One of the pc's did this for a while also but jus recently that
didn't work anymore and we had to delete

the developpers may correct me but I do not know of any way an instant
messenger can find this out by itself. However, and without getting
into too much detail, google that using the service you're looking for
and there are ways to find out if they are.
