The DR-680 should be fine with the ST250, with the mic gains switched to 'low'. You can gang the inputs easily, which makes it a nice unit for Ambisonics, although monitoring is a bit hit and miss. I liked mine, but it wasn't physically tough enough for the type of situation that I often find my
