I have cpo with acid value 22,7.itmeans that 22,7milligrams ffa per 1 grams
cpo. I do the acid-base stage and two stage base. For the base reaction i
neutralized the cpo first with Na2CO3. But the yield with two stage base is
lower than one stage base. I think the glycerin is too much.Do you

while, I have produced a good clear final
product. I have bought a hot plate magnetic
stirrer for $360 USD that has helped for
titrations etc.
I have played with the two stage process and the
final product has turned to jelly. I have

Hi,
I did a blender test batch of biodiesel last night. I
titrated to 2ml, so I used 5.5g of lye and mixed it in
with 200ml of methanol. I then heated the oil up(1
litre), and put it in the blender, and mixed for 15-20
minutes. It quickly began to separate and the
biodiesel at the very top
If at all possible, I need the easiest recipe possible to make biofuels.
or at least the ingredients needed.

Check that you are not accidentally evaporating off too much of your
methanol. What kind of container are you using on that hot plate? If
it is an Ehrlenmeyer flask you've got a better chance of retaining all
the methanol than if you are using a beaker, for instance. If you put

Question: If wvo is dried by boiling off water, can the acid stage be
undertaken once oil temp. falls below boiling point of methanol? Does higher
temp. affect esterification in any positive or negative way?
