hello there, i'm only new to this project (and haven't started helping
at all
yet...) but wouldn't it be better to retain both versions and give
them
slightly different names (and explain there are two in docstrings)? I
am
presuming that the version which modifies the matrix in situ is faster
and sell it or something, I also
don't want some cheeky company taking my ideas and patenting them as
if they were their own (and then possibly suing me for using 'their'
idea some way down the line -- apparently this is happening)

Do you think it would be a good idea to include MPI/BSP
parallelization capability? I think there will probably be no big
problem in using the modules already included with scipy/Scientific
for that, but perhaps integrated into sympy could be good if it is to
be a fully
