former member of the International Olympic Committee, has died. He was 93.
Sylvio de Magalhaes Padilha was a wonderful athlete and a great sports leader

Queer how people misremember. Mr. de Magalhaes Padilha was in fact a
hurdler. Eliminated in the first round in both hurdle events in 1932, he
was indeed fifth in the 400mh in 1936.
