Sorry pal, you are "me-generation jerk." You do not speak for anyone except
for yourself. The rest of us know better than to force our wants on you.
If you don't like seeing results don't connect to media - especially the
internet. No matter how loud you cry about it, you will not get your way.

His parents were absolutely right.
Geez, if we can't even agree on something so
simple as common courtesy, no WONDER this
country is getting more screwed up by the day.

Folks:
I think we are all missing the point here. If we all want track and
field to be considered a true sport in the USA, then we must act like
it. The rules should be similar to that of NBA, NFL or MLB games. If
we seem too restrictive people will not come. I was not at the trials

Hardly, once again you miss the point so before everybody on the list
jumps all over me for being a selfish SOB please let me clarify. My
exact words were "if you don't like standing and cheering at sporting
events then stay home". In others don't go if you don't "want to stand

Ban all the druggies, and obviously they are. I'm using the same logic with
them that is used against American athletes, they are guilty until they
prove their innocence. That is not the way the system is supposed to work,

It is inappropriate to stand when you and all the other fans can see what is
going on and being able to cheer without having to stand up! It is called
common courtesy. Perhaps you weren't schooled by your parents in that area?

And if the people behind you when you are cheering and standing when
you are so motivated cannot stand and have their view blocked that
doesn't bother you? In the UK we call people like you the 'me

Just out of curiosity, at a track meet, when is the appropriate time to
