Dear Stefano,
Accepting the tag landuse=port would improve the detailed tagging of port
areas, for example to tell apart container terminals (easily
distinguishable from satellite imagery) from passenger terminals and so on.
Thank you very much for your good strucutured and very detailed
Dear Bryan,
Better use an own tag like flow_direction=forward/backward/both/none or
similar. This way we will cover all three cases mentioned below.

Making oneway=yes as a default and make it automatically into the direction
of flow is not a good solution:

Sorry Janko, this is pure no-sense.
Should we tag flat areas as natural=peak ele=0 and then tell the renderer
not to render it as a mountain?
Should we tag deserts as
Much better to standardise on the chaining approach i.e. boules=*
this was also discussed on talk-it (and I think talk-de) in the past:
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-it/2013-October/038240.html
the wiki advocates for boules=* on the tag page:

Indeed this is what you can also find reflected in the current usage:

*sport* http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/sport
*bowls* http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/sport=bowls
boules=bowls - 0
So should we then go
specifiy the action-tags: sharing, renting, selling,
and the sub-tags: no sub-tag = physical location/pick-up place ...
sub-tag: office: location of the sharing agency etc.).
What do you think?

Very interesting and important discussion.
Are you all aware of that one of the main subjects of the next wikimedia

this subject in Zurich? Like send the worked proposal to the people there or
something??

Dear all,
the proposal is now open for voting.

The idea is to create a tag for boat sharing communities, just in analogy of
the existing and well accepted tag amenity=car_sharing.
Thank you very much for voting.

Dear all,
the proposal reached the end of the voting period. There were 10 Yes and 0 No.
I consider therefore the proposal to be accepted.

Dear Dave, Steve, Philip
Thank you very much for your replies.
If I understand correctly, you all advocate to use apartment instead of
flat.
As being non-native English, I can not really judge on this (I just learned
flat in school, so ... at may age :-) ), so no problem for me to change.

Hi OpenSeaMap!
I want to support what Pieren is saying
Having started to tag lakes and harbors all around Switzerland, I realized that:
1. The OpenSeaMap tags and OSM tags do not match.
2. Most of the tags are not rendered.
This situation is a pity. I do not want to live in two different
