: Microsoft and accessibility
Well, Dave. When you cite an example such as your previous employer
you're opening a Pandora's box of an enormous gray zone. What the owner
of that company did was to the extreme. And it got him exactly what he
deserved.
But there's no avoiding bugs and inaccessibility when
As others have said (sort of) you can complain about the lack of ability
for each of us to flex our muscles. That would be fine if we had
economic power. The reality is we don't, and we won't! Perhaps if we
were larger in numbers, we might. But no one owes us anything, and the
sooner each
Alex,
Good point. This is why we observe the Microsoft rule in this house,
waiting at least six months before upgrading. That way, others have found
the bugs and they have been fixed.
You are never going to be able to release a 100% bug-free piece of software
as developers cannot test

Here, here Tom! I could have not have stated it any better! I will never
understand the purpose of upgrading to the next version since it is
probably loaded with bugs anyway. I stated once before that I would wait
until the full release of windows 10 and reading of all
Which is why I'm thankful my folks raised me to believe no one owes me
anything.
Focus your powers and prepare for buttle.

Google is your friend. Do a little research and you'll see a long list
of problems with Windows 10 and Edge for the sighted folks as well. A
recent update sent some systems into an eternal rebooting cycle. Sony is
telling their laptop users not to update. And on and on it goes.

Hi tony,
I too have noticed the steps backwards when it comes to accessibility.
I do not like it, but at the same time, I do understand it. Things
change, and we Blind do live in a World dominated by those with Sight.
We are the minority, and while I never think of myself as a Second Class
clean-up is necessary and
dutiful monitoring of future progress.

get some badly needed cash flow to start coming into the cash box.

Hi,
I’m a bit dismayed and also wondering about the “back steps” accessibility has
seemed to take. Where are all the organizations, and people we as blind and
dissabled people have put our “faith” in to make sure that we can at least
access some of the stuff via networks. In this day and age
