all you need to do is to tell what to exclude from cleaning, like this

Private browsing is the only way I would say.
Browser close, everything will be wipe out.

I will add one more thought. Google offers a “Logout of all sessions” link.
This is actually the best way to logout if you have Google services opened in
more than one tab or more than one browser instance. Which I personally do all
the time. If you are in IE exclusively and have Google

The only way I know right now is to sign out when you leave Gmail.
Then the next time that you sign in you will not be taken right into
your account.
I don't know of a way to change this behaviour.
