[Talk-ca] Ontario Provincial Parks : 6 categories

Hi all, I'm taking a look at the Ontario Provincial Parks dataset, and will enhance the current WMS layer (that has trails so far) with it. We can have it available as simple boundaries, "boundary=nature_reserve" We will also make a .gpx file version of it, as well as a transparent Garmin Map from

OK, so I came into some free time and completed the tracing of the Dempster Highway into OSM. Some points: 1) I have tagged it as a primary highway. It is, after all, called the Dempster Highway. Also, it is the only ground link to Inuvik, thus fairly important 2) I have tagged the surface as grav

Sure, i'll help with that. The Dempster Highway portion that physically has the 'TCT logo' needs to have a relation route. However, it CAN be tagged as a 'rcn bicycle route' because in that province it is a 'regional cycle route'. If it is not provincially designated 'state=proposed' works just

The Dempster should be tagged as a trunk highway from what I read and understand. It is a very important highway (read only) headed north out of the Yukon to Inuvik. I agree, it should be a high level highway. Trunk? Not so much, but this is where opinions obviously vary. It is a limited access highway - you can only get on it at the start and end! But it's not really a motorway. As for tagging so that the importance is presented to routing engines: not reall

Hi, I was kind of hoping someone more knowledgeable in GIS programming would've responded first for the following reasons: geobase2osm.py is an integral part of the whole roadmatching process for Canada, and it's a very Canadian-specific script (there are chunks of code that deal with naming of maj
