perhaps someone smarter than i am can point out where the
attribution for OSM contributors is
Interesting. . . Nothing saying they are using OSM in the mapbox blog post nor
do I see acknowledgement of OSM on the Rand McNally slippery map or surrounding
frame on the map page itself.
But zooming into areas that I've edited on OSM I can definitely tell that it is
OSM data they are using
Haven't found the attribution yet, but Hans is right. In my county, I can
clearly see that the buildings shown on the RMcN map match ones in OSM,
including neighborhoods where I drew some houses but skipped others because the
imagery isn't clear enough.

On the help page there is a link to
http://www.randmcnally.com/legal/doc/tripmaker-attribution
http://www.randmcnally.com/legal/doc/tripmaker-attribution, which has
attribution for OpenStreetMap. However, I can't actually get to that page from
the Help window: there is some javascript
The attribution I can find is on
http://www.randmcnally.com/legal/doc/tripmaker-attribution, which is
linked from the Help popup from the TripMaker site. For OSM it links
to https://www.mapbox.com/about/maps/ which seems to have more specific
data about OSM licensing.

I've also seen OSM attributed in the legal disclaimer on printed Tulsa and
Oklahoma highway maps. Next time I'm at QuikTrip I might see about
photographing that if I can. Anybody know if Rand McNally is tithing us or
just using our work?

Not sure why the website can't use the same contribution links as google
maps does with its 4 different map sources on the bottom right of their
map. Since rand shows on their attribution page that they get their map
data from 4 different sources also.

Hans

It’s OSM. Looking at edits I made I found an error on the map. I then went to
OSM and the error was there so I fixed it. I then reloaded Rand McNally and it
was fixed.

A school I just added is also there. I'm impressed that they are using up
to the minutes data.

Yes, the map will show updated OSM data within minutes, like all of Mapbox's
maps that are based on their Mapbox Streets vector data tiles.
