I am hoping you will be able to help me with a problem I am having with
the viewer in The Bat! After opening The Bat! and viewing a couple of
HTML messages, the viewer freezers and will refuse to show any non-text

I like Datula's approach, which is to have both an online and
offline HTML viewing mode. You can choose the former if you are
connected to the Internet and want to view the entire page, or the
latter if you don't want to download those items
