Why do people stick to The Bat! when they switch to Linux?

Hi Over the years I have often seen mention on this list of using The Bat! on a Linux box under Wine, or in a Windows VM, or even by booting Windows just to use TB!. Presumably some of those concerned have made this decision after trialling a range of Linux mail clients and finding them wanting
