Bazooka shells are too bulky and heavy. I prefer dynamite which is more easily
strapped to my body under my trench coat but of course them there is no room
for clothing.

of Camp Wood. You have to climb partially up a small mountain to the entrance.

I agree! This is a compilation of the best caving (spelunking) stories I have
ever read. Now Helmer can be recognized for his storytelling as well as his
early Texas Caver art work.
I can relate as I first started spelunking in the early 1950's with my first
wild cave being Frio Bat Cave in 195

They probably were but without a sanctioning body or organization and caving
information was mostly word of mouth between spelunkers ( not cavers). My first
non commercial cave was Frio Cave on the Annandale Ranch near Concan in 1953 at
18. It is still an interesting cave.
