Well, I've put together a working example at
http://aelocson-test-1.tiddlyspot.com. This contains a new macro for
embedding the hangout videos. Hopefully it's not too hard to follow.
Things are less messy now. You no longer need to define youtubeid at the
start of each hangout tiddler.
Hi Astrid
There are some significant limitations in this area. I think that we may
need a new widget to set a variable to the plain or wikified result of a
macro invocation.

Hi Stephan,
That's a brilliant suggestion.
For anyone interested in the future, here's a tested example:
\define m1(x) 1($x$)
\define m2(y) 2($y$)
\define m3(z) 3($z$)
$set name=m2result value=m3 abc
m2result and
$macrocall $name=m1 x=abc/ and
$macrocall $name=m1 x=m2result/

why can't I just itterate through all the fields of the current tiddler

The quick answer is because it hasn't been implemented yet.
A slightly longer answer is that the list widget shouldn't have any side

Here's the current form of a tiddler I'm working on. I get some values from
input boxes and stick them into fields. I want to pass those values to a
javascript routine I wrote which will take those values and use them to
calculate a single number. My macro works just fine but I haven't figured
The current ribbon is, of course, just a copy of the popular GitHub Ribbon:

Does normal transclusion not work in that case? As long as the fields have

I am working on my Atom feed exporter, with the hope of eventually making

This is because the Atom spec http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4287.txt

Sure enough. That worked. Almost ridiculously easy. Thanks, Jed.
Now the question becomes how I was suppose to figure that out from the
documentation.
Again. Thanks.

I have not had much luck finding this on google. Either it hasn't been done
for TW5 yet, or I just cannot get the right search terms.
What I'd like to do is have the template show the tagging tab by default.
I've accomplished the same thing by including:
{{{ [tag[tiddler title]sort[title]] }}}
Transclusion in WikiText is probably a more accessible version of the
information. Still it assumes that you are thinking of transclusion and
passing parameters to a javascript routine in the same thought.
Roadblock eliminated. Time to move on.
