Hello all,
I'm planning to use in an application this oscillator
http://www.abracon.com/Precisiontiming/AOCJY.pdf in the 40MHz version.
The phase noise data in the data sheet is for the 10MHz version. Is it
possible to "extrapolate" these numbers to what I could expect in the
40MHz version? A
I haven't looked it up myself, but as I write this, the KFI radio show host
mentioned there was a corona mass ejection. But it is due to hit earth on
Tuesday.

I'm in California (Silicon Valley). It was about Sat noon-midnight local

Better idea. Let's all donate a few bucks each and buy Elio an intact one.

I have replaced several with REV C chips and those work fine as well.
The popular auction site has several listings for DS1620 chips.

Hi
The sawtooth correction needs an accurately calibrated time offset measurement
to work against. That's not a requirement for a simple loop. Not impossible to
do, but it adds another constraint.

Hi Warren --
Thanks for the hint about looking for phase jumps.
I just changed the altitude from my initial entry based on MSL altitude to GPS
altitude and that made about an 80 - 90 nanosecond change in PPS compared to
the other units, and in the right direction (brought the Tbolt closer to th

I have Not seen any reliable consistent way to predict what the Tbolt will

It is certainly NOT the same as the Oncore's answers.

To get that at short taus the tester needs sub ps resolution.
To get it at long taus, all uncontrolled variable influences that effect the

That's an experiment I should run, but the current experiment requires setting

Let the TBolt do its autosurvey and see the difference... then you can
correct with a more precise set of coordinates. Or, is the autosurvey not
available in the TBolt? OK, Let me take a look at the manual...

When manually entering coordinates to the Tbolt, using either Tboltmon

The Trimble docs don't seem to indicate which value is used.

Paul,
please don't get me wrong: I own a 5370A and a SR620 myself and I am happy

Arthur,
I had also some trouble in buying the counter. I had originally ordered the
20 GHz version of the counter from a different dealer for about 2000 Euros.
Then it turned out that the 20 GHz option alone (i.e. without the counter)
costs 2000 Euros. Then I decided to stay at the 6 GHz version.
