I'm not particularly concerned about whether tmux moves to Github, but I'm
curious what features SourceForge has that Github doesn't.

That also opened a new pane, but not in the current directory.

It used to be that when I opened a new pane in tmux it would be in the
directory of the pane I was in. Now new panes always start in my home
directory. I don't know what I could have done to change that behavior, but
I prefer the old way. Is there a setting for this?

I have tmux 1.9a installed in cygwin, but can't get it to start.
When I run "tmux new" it outputs "failed to connect to server: No error".
Shouldn't that start the server?

Before version 1.9 when I split an existing pane, the new pane started in the
same directory as the one I split. Now new panes start in my home directory.
Was that an intentional change? Is there a way to configure tmux to have the
old behavior?

Also, using the mouse to select a pane by clicking in it doesn't work.
I have "set -g mouse-select-pane on" in my .tmux.conf file.

Thanks to Saad and J Raynor I now am able to run tmux in Cygwin!
However, some keystrokes aren't working as expected. When I have multiple
panes in a window, I'm used to switching between them with ctrl-a (my
prefix) and an arrow key. That doesn't work for me in Cygwin.

I don't have that. It is looking for it because I just copied
.tmux.conf from my Mac. I don't think that's the issue though because
tmux starts fine if I start it with sudo. That's why I thought it was
an issue with a permission on some other file.

I'm trying to understand the difference between #T and #W.
The PragProg tmux book says #T is the window title and #W is the window
name.
However, #T seems the same as #h for me. It displays the host name.

Is it possible to get nice pane borders like that on a Mac? I
currently have borders made from hyphen and vertical bar characters,
so they look like dashed lines.

Is there a way to customize the characters (hyphen and vertical bar) that

If so, we could use unicode characters that connect to make continuous
lines.
