OK took a look at the screen shot. I do believe it is what I was thinking.
That one is going to be a little hard to fix. Try the new one I sent you and
let's see how that works. I do remember doing a little work to fix that
problem. If it still does not work with the new one we will cre
Hello stefan
How about this. Everyone that wants a binary version right now let me know and
I will send it. This is a 0.5.8 alpha 1 version. The alpha being not even
beta. Myself and quite a few others, the others more than myself, have been
using it in production for over 6 months.

Hello there,
I want to ask when you plan to release a new binary version, because I don't
want to install ant and maybe other programs/libs to compile tn5250j.
I use 0.5.7 and it works for me with the known (and in the cvs solved)
problems.

Kenneth,
Mostly, the forward delete key is the key which deletes character on and to
the right of the cursor position. All people I know use the backspace key as
a 'normal' delete key. For backspaces we have the arrow keys nowadays. And
yes, I am talking about the backspace key, not the arrow keys

about Number 3. Am not sure I am understanding what is going on. could you
forward a screen capture to me or something.
Have read it a couple of times and am thinking the following:
The field is input capable and depending on an indicator can be either input
capable or non input capable
Ahh I just started up the mocha emulator to see what it did. I got it now for
the backspace key. Humm not sure I actually like the functionality really but
now understand what you are asking.
Here is what I see.
It does do a destructive delete and leaves the last non blank character
character
What would you call these keying actions?
Like for instance the ALT + arrow left/right is called Cursor Next Word and
Cursor Previous Word. What would be the description of these?

Ah then you are not talking about the backspace key itself but the back arrow
key or I should say the non destructive keys.
What is the foward-delete key?
I know these are just definitions but could you put them into terms that are
referenced in the tn5250j emulator?

Kenneth,
You were faster then I expected thanks for the quick reply.
About 1: yes, Mocha TN5250 can do that and it is very convenient. And no, it
does NOT delete the character at that position. One can do that with the
forward-delete key.

Hello Kenneth,
Nice to meet you. I sent some ideas in some time ago:
1) It would be nice that when the cursor is at the beginning of an
input-capable field, pressing the backspace key jumps backward to the last
position of a previous input-capable field instead of moving into the
protected screen

Just wanted to say a well over due "Hello!!!" to the group. Am not sure many
people are still around anymore but hope not everyone has abandonded ship. Not
even sure of the other emulators status's out there.
I know Brian Trout still has an issue with the field exit key and will hopefully
