I have a problem when configuring a JDBCRealm from the admin tool.
I use no digest algorithm, so I leave the text field in blank, but the
generated server.xml file includes an oughfull:

having some issue. If I try to add a host I get:

I managed to get that problem when I terminated tomcat , restarted it
and used the browser's auto complete url.
In my case the solution was not to use the url from auto complete. Did
you stop and start tomcat by any chance ?

its asking me for a user name and password, now i would have thought it
would have been tomcat tomcat as defined in the tomcat-users.xml
