Hello brethren,
Dave, yes, I changed QTH moving from the ocean to Guayaquil city and now I'm
residing in downtown area which implies certain challenges working low bands.
However, to my joy, I'm not utterly deafened by the city's QRMand tropical QRN,
the way I thought I would be. My noise

Hello brethren,
I have to complain and name the names. It is a second day in a row that I
become the object of QRM. I come to a freq 3514 in particular, ask QRL? and,
not receiving any objections, begin to call CQ. A few minutes later the
frequency is under massive attack from EP6T callers
Brethren,
why are there rules? In our case they were cset in order to create a reasonable
fair playground limits for the MAJORITY of participants. The majority still
falls into the conditions described in the rules.
To the remote RX/TX site owner - fellows, why don't you ask the rule-makers
Hello brethren,
I´m one of those who lives and operates from a noise-infested location. It is
within my abilities to build a remote station a few miles away. Yet, I ask you
and myself 'will it be of the same value? If I'm not happy with either TX or
RX, I can operate portable or rent a
That has kept me preplexed since the expedition began - not a single word in
the TB reflector. How come? Usually even a minor expedition with TB claims is
being widely discussed. I think everyone in NA, SA, OC hopes to log them
despite East EU wall and QRN/QRM issues fellows have been dealing
including VEs. Yet, 100 watts and a vertical is not a big
gun stuff. Nevertheless I think this time an amp wouldn't be of much help.
On the bright side - first time ever in HC land, I heard DX signals on TB 2
hours before my SS - W2GD, NP2X, YV1DIG.

Hello brethren,
I´m ready to be crucified yet I couldn´t resist asking a question:
What's the value of JT modes qso for a dxer?
IMHO Digimodes undermine the value of low band dxing. I don't arfue over
reliability of the modes and their help in extension of hamradio capabilities
in general yet
Hi all,
I expected more from the event. Conditions were not bad altogether but very
little activity. Some frustration from calling but not being heard. The best DX
of the night - w1aw/kl7 ran by Kevin, kl7ky. Heard but not worked: K1LT, N5IR,
WD8DSB, LU5YF.

Alex I called you a few times too, but no luck. Only worked 26 stations
during the contest as lightning activity

Steve,
With all due respect to the renown ops, in Ecuador it sounds like they are
having problems on every single band =)

I would highly appreciate any comments and suggestions. And thanks to those of

The ground system - 4 x 6ft ground rods at the base
