I checked my log and see about 17 or so contacts on 20,15 and 10 for John.
Never on the lower bands 40,80 or 160 apparently. Was always nice to hear
him coming over the pole and he certainly was a regular out of Belgium. I

A few years back some 9913 I was using apparently got water in the coax. I say
this because of fluctuating SWR issues and I noted the shield when cut into was
almost 'black'. So for my minor purpose of using spare coax for my dump power
on an 80 meter 4-square can some of this coax b

reradiate it. It's larger than a football field. Just a thought. Let's see,

You are so right about that static issue. I even seem to remember the Rig
Experts manual says to short the antenna leads together to remove any static
build up before connecting the analyzer. I think that was why I wasn't too
impressed with my MFJ-259b. Probably my own fail when I firs
o a little solder and
'hop-a-long' rides again! It's working. Will check out the coax stub again to
see what the RE reads now.

MFJ just would not work their. Had a radio station about 1/2-3/4th mile away

and tried some of these European webSDR's. Just worked OK2RZ and YT1AA. Also
heard I5ZSS. Using the SDR it's like shooting fish in the barrel. At least when
you plug into the right SDR over there. They are not going in

FWIW I have been concentrating on 40 and 80 meters SSB for quite sometime now.
Staying up till 0:800 or 09:00 Zulu on 80 meters listening to K2RR and others
work the two regular groups around 3.799 KHz and 3.795 KHz or so. The southern
