If the iPod looks like a USB disk then TinySC should be able to work
with it.
Currently TinySC will only take files on something that looks like a
disk connected to the USB port or an SD card.
To use a NAS you would have to mount the NAS (which can be done using
linux commands, there is no GUI
There are two crystals, one which is used for 44.1 and 88.2 and the
other used for 48 and 96. The master clocks are divided down by integer
amounts for whatever frequencies are needed for the sample rate in
question (word clocks, bit clocks etc).

since driven prices up. Was just wandering if we may get typical
