So, I presume then that the mp3tunes locker is simply an App.
It's both an app and a pluggin. If the player is connected to
MySqueezebox.com then you use the app. If the player is connected to a
local SbS server then to use Mp3tunes Music Locker, it requires the

No. I don't believe it ever switches servers by itself. You have to
first do something that requires the local TinySbS server, like going
Why ? the server can transcode to 24/96 with SOX there is so little
source material in that format, so it's a very marginal customer base,
sure it can be developed who will pay whats the cost ?
If the hardware was developed for this, the cost will be shared by all
buyers and 99.999873% off them
Bandwidth, Cost, Sense?

well, I saw a Duet system at a friend's house last weekend and it seemed
like a very friendly way to manage the music library (30k song, 270gig
on my mac mini up in my office) from the TV/Stereo room.
The Duet system was neat, but had was hard wired with an ethernet cable

Of course both the player and the Touch remote then need a processor,

For some reason there seems to be the feeling that you can just take

Yes, the hardware can support 24/192. The DAC can do it and the
oscillators are of sufficient frequency to support it from the
processor. The one issue is optical out. The TOSLINK modules being sold
today do not have a high enough bandwidth to reliably handle 192.

Who designs these user interfaces? Even if you intended to click+hold,
you might slip and release the button/screen too early, accidentally

Data loss with a
24/192 is all 'more is better' marketing hype especially when it comes
to stereo playback so no one should be bothered that a device like a
Squeezebox doesn't support it.

Yeah, good clarifications. Thanks.
Please create a wiki article with these. This could be the base for some more
information about tinySBS.
