Hello,
I have a question of Display remains on after pressing power
button.
Most of time, I press power button, the screen gets into Digital
clock.
If I connect and disconnect my usb HD several times, and squeezebox
server library(USB) will also update, then I press Power button, the
screen still
Hello and many thanks for your replies.
I am using the SB Touch in standalone mode attached to a USB 1TB
Toshiba external HDD. I go out the coaxial digital output to my DAC a
Audio Synthesis Dax Decade. I believe that my system is revealing
enough to show relatively small improvements in the SB
Thanks to both of you and sorry for my late reply. That's a shame - it
is recommended to change the network key from time to time, so it
should be possible to do without knowing linux (not sure it would work
if I tried).
Logitech - you should change it if possible!
What about security? I work

Hi,
we all know about the USB issues of the SB Touch regarding external
hard disks and their power consumption during spin-up. There are a
bunch of threads
listing working and non-working devices, but I'm interested in the real
startup (peak) current consumption of devices to find models

Thinking about this a bit more, I think the newer players (Radio and

testers to try the WPS feature). That wouldn't help with your Receiver,
but might be a good way to re-key your WLAN, including your
Thanks. You are probably right flattermann, WPA2 is much more secure
than WEP so it shouldn't be necessary to changed it often (unless you
think it could have been leaked somehow).
Thanks peterw, I was looking for an easy way to change it through the
controller (not completely sure I could

Is all communication between controller and receiver (and Radio
etc.) encrypted via WPA2 (or whatever you use)
Yes. Any/all devices connected via WiFi are using whatever encryption
you have set.
All SB players controllers are communicating through your router,
That is good. I think the exception is when the receiver for the Duet is
connected to the internet via cable (no wifi router used) - not sure
what encryption the controller use for communicating with the receiver
in such setup.

I am still a little unclear as to whether it is possible to do the flac
decoding on a sheevaplug, is this possible?
Many thanks.
Yes, running SBS on a sheevaplug can easily handle flac decoding.

I have the same problem using a USB thumbdrive. The drive appears to be
alive when powered off.

Yes, thanks, I have no problem with the other Radio Nigel streams. I
just wanted to air the problem with them HQ stream. No stream (not
even random garbage or malicious data) should cause the Touch to crash
IMO.

If your reason for pushing the off button is to get into a low power
