Will this help if i cannot update the software of the server itself (see
my reply to Toby10).
I'm not an expert, but I've always read here that it's better to keep
the player and server with coherent versions. But anyway the bugs fixed
that we're talking about in this
I have had an SB1 connected to a Bose Wave Radio in the kitchen since
2003. Upgrading to a Touch for various reasons. I am interested in
keeping the cable clutter to a minimum since the combo sits on the
counter top. I am thinking about using the headphone jack since I can
get short (6) 1/8 to
Using headphone out will certainly work, but it's bound to introduce
some noise since it introduces additional components (op-amps) into the
signal path. In your use case, the additional noise may not be
apparent.
As far as I know you won't damage anything if that is your concern.

I am contemplating getting the SB Touch. I am wondering about my set-up.
Do you need a fully operational desktop computer running for the Touch
to access the music (for example, with Itunes running)? Or can I put

lower power
Thanks for the reply. I agree that there is probably more circuitry in

Do I detect a bit of disdain for the Wave Radio? :) If so I
understand, but I will say that when I tried one of my Booms in it's
place the low end was noticeably missing. I love the sound of the
Boom, but for this application (in this room) the Wave sounds better.
I've had the touch for about 3 weeks, £170 was too good to say no to!
I'm pleased with it, the choice of radio stations is great, specially
as I listen so much to jazz. Been listening to TSF Jazz Paris jazz
station at 192kb and its been remarkably good. Amazing even. Dynamics,
tonality and
At the moment my Touch is connected to my Synology Nas (cabled on my
home netwerk) and my amplifier and it works perfect
Now I want to take my Touch also to my holiday home and connect to my
windows XP computer over there. (on WIFI) I have copied all my music
flac files from my NAS to an 2 TB
I'm getting a new network enabled pre-pro and was wondering if Logitech
has fixed this? I have an SB3 as well, but I do not want to swap it
since I'm please with he SQ of touch.

I am thinking of getting this one. Inexpensive and I doubt, though my
past says maybe not, something more expensive will make much of a
difference..
