I wonder if somebody is able to help me?
I bought my squeezebox touch in May 2010. It set up immediately and has
worked perfectly until now.
There was a power outage during the night two days ago and now the
player will not connect to the server software.
I've tried everything - returning to
You tried going to My Music on the Touch itself?
If My Music does not see your SBS server...
On the SBS server go to Control Panel Diagnostics, what is reported
for ALL pings, ports, IP's?
On Touch go to Settings Home Menu, select Switch Library.
Now on Touch's Home Menu try Switch Library,
Did you look at diagnostics? Does it say the relevant ports, players,
wifi, ethernet etc are working?
If other methods fail, try hard router reset (you will have to write
your personal definitions into the router interface again), and also
hard Touch reset (5 second press on reset button).
thank you for the suggestions so far.
I realised, as I'm at work now, that the player listed in
'mysqueezebox.com' is just the player I registered with and it isn't
actually seeing my player on the network.
On the SBS side, all diagnostics report ok except that it cannot see
the player.
On the
Nobody else happens the same? :-(
Maybe I put the message in the wrong section? If so, can the
administration put in the right place?
Thanks.

That can be as much a hinderance as help TBH as it often means running
fancy configs of s/w, networks etc. which consumer gear isn't tested
for.

Again, just try My Music from the Touch itself, forget trying to grab
the player using the SBS web UI as this feature is likely broken at the
moment.
If MySB.com says the player is connected then the player is actually
connected to MySB.com and MySB.com does see the player.
Your player can only
Hi all,
I have been reading up on external DACs for the SB Touch, and was
wondering whether the HRT Music Streamer II can be used with the SB
touch and will it make any difference over the DACs in the SB touch?
If there are other alternates in the same price range, let me know. Any
feedback
Above points taken to heart. I suppose I do tend to think about doing
the right thing rather than the easy thing. Being exposed to flacs
for a few years (because of downloading lossless Grateful dead shows) I
just automatically looked to that to be the correct option. Anyway,
I've learned a
As for the Mystery of the Disappearing Tags, did you use any other
tag-aware programs? Most programs are benign, but some programs are
pretty agressive about correcting your tags for you. mp3tag is not
one of them -- it does only what you tell it, but it's very powerful,
so if you make a mistake
I see flickr and facebook two times in the main menu on my SBT. How do I
deleted flickr and facebook frrom the main menu?

Yes you CAN make an HRT streamerII work with the Touch. Its NOT plug and
play though, you have to log onto the Touch and edit some files. With
those changes in effect you can ONLY use it with the streamerII, the
other outputs are turned off. If you then load Soundcheck's TT2.0 the

The player discovery protocol uses UDP not TCP/IP. Some firewalls block
UDP which will prevent the player from finding a server. Make sure your
firewall on the computer running SBS does not have UDP blocked.

One other thing, this problem has happened when a computer had two
firewalls running, one that comes with the anti-virus software AND
windows firewall. Check to make sure you just have one firewall
running.
