After scanning Artwork it crashes. Version 7.6.1 r.9486. I had no
problem until this upgrade.

Hi.
Is there anyway I can speed up the Ipeg interface with my SBT. Last
night I found it a little sluggish at times. And knowing how well the
Ipod 'worked' with itunes, surely I must be able to get it working as
quickly as that?

It communicates with your server or mysqueezebox.com
So "speediness" in many views depends on these

Which iOS hardware and OS version is this?
Mnyb is right, iTunes has all the data on the device, iPeng has to read
it from the server.
Have a look at the FAQ on penguinlovesmusic.com (there's a link in
iPeng under "help", too), there are some performance considerations
written there.

Right, I see.
version 7.6.1
I have been streaming from my office PC which uses windows xp, I will
try with the HD connected to my HTPC, this uses W7.
I also had nearly all but one of the Ipeng's setup options on, I guess
this will not help things either.

Seems it is a standard name when having issues connecting with
mysqueezebox.com ; log there with a browser and change settings under
'player', it has been renamed as 'nil', change it, then the player will
show the new name; happens time to time.

7.6.1 should be pretty fast. The server also sounds fast enough unless
its perpetually rescanning. Again: which hardware is iPeng running on?
How big is your current playlist?

Strange ... I just got a severe shutdown of my listening pleasure, and
the Touch announced itself as NIL. Disconnected from wifi network.
Only rejoining forced a recovery.
Something not right in the state of sbs 7.6.2.

I use my Touch only for internet radio ( got fed up with trying to use
it with USB-disc)
Usually works ok but lately it has started to live its own life. Seems
to have started on its own when I have turned it off. The Favorites
button on remote control does not work. I have use the reset button

If I use the Touch as a stand alone web radio can I save my favorites
locally in the Touch and avoid mysqueezebox.com? Seems to me MySQ.com
is part of the problems I have with my Touch.

I have exactly the same thing thing since a week (in Europe). My Touch
has lost his name and is called "Nil". Also, lost mySB.com conection :
presets don't work, no menu items for my favorites... Sometimes it
works with tuening off then on, but not always.
Is it a new bug or a mySB.com failure ?

Do you know if this is possible with Andoid, too? I am u
Yes, in SqueezeCommander it's the same thing as in iPeng.
When you open an album/playlist, there is an "|>", "+", "|>|" or "i"
icon on the top right, tap it to select the mode.

Your English is excellent. Better than that of many English people.
Quit apologising. :)

I realize I am new to the Squeezebox world having just bought my SB
Radio at the end of July, and after receiving a 50% off offer from
Logitech, I went ahead and purchased the Touch...
Love 'em...
That is, when they work right.
Current problem is that the Shoutcast stuff just doesn't work

It has happened to me twice now. I run 7.6.1 r9486.
Switching to mySB.com restored the Favorite menu on the Home screen but
I had to reinstall my Sortcuts and rename the device.
I'm not amused.

You're very kind. I apologize then for apologizing so often!
Lets change the Squeezebox Touch Forum motto from:
"Color Touch Screen Puts Music at Your Fingertips"
to
"You're Entering a World of Pain"
or
"This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps!"
I really hoped the Touch

Lately Shoutcast is, occasionally, not working properly. Most lists are
empty, only station appearing seems to be RADIO_STRAYA
I have no idea why or how to fix it.

It works differently (by geography or call sign) but maybe TuneIn
(formerly Radio IO) would help you find what you want.
