This. Plus you'll you get a lot better options for your mixes, such as
only songs not played in 3 months, etc.

Having said that, other players (Windows Media for instance) seem to do
a "better" job of random, but I don't know what they're doing.

Ok thanks. Am i best to get a pc rather than a laptop? I already have
quiet alot of music saved on a external hard drive so going down this
route rather than a NAS would be alot better i think.

can run the sb server and come with it pre installed and would prefer
to get one of these but i guess for the same price i could pick up a
cheap netbook and a external hard drive and run the server from there.

thank you chrisinparis this is chrisintheproverbial I checked the w7
firewall & it was in there & ticked 6 times!!!. I removed them all, re
- installed sb7.6.1 & I still get the same message. Also i dont really
