I'd like to encourage more people to try the USB tests on the link
above. It looks like my modifications + an external high speed hub
enable usb 1.1 async dacs to work without any drops. Would like to get
more postive results of this.
I consider the modifications stable enough for more people

Where did you learn this audiophool nonsense?
We're talking TCP/IP packet data (that's right - network data
transmission), and as long as the cable installation is within
As of now and the last three days there were no single hick-up on the
squeezebox touch with triodes plugin.
Spotify seems to have corrected their congestion problem.
Let's hope it stays that way!
Thank you Triode for making this possible. Makes me miss your plugin at
work, where I have to use

Have you been drinking the Kool Aid in some of those tweakers' threads?
TCP/IP is an asynchronous error-checking protocol. The internet
wouldn't work if it wasn't. Ethernet cable is fine as long as you keep
it shorter than 100 meters.
Fair enough! That does make sense.
Just as the title says, it's so frustrating when I select My Music
folder (to access FLAC or MP3) on my laptop for a certain tune, then it
plays another in my library despite showing the title of the one I
wanted on the screen! It doesn't do this with ripped CD tracks
though.
Also, shouldn't

shouldn't the squeezebox be able to access tracks when the laptop is

please?
Thanks,

If the -tracks are on the laptop- exactly how should the Touch reach
them if the laptop is off ?
Well that's what I wondered too, but I thought a long time ago when
considering the purchase of a SQ, that a main feature was to actually
access the library without needing the PC powered up. I guess I must
have been mistaken.

Touch has a ligth version of the lms
I'm interested in a few testers to see if they can tell any audible
difference between a few cases using a blind testing applet I've put
together for Touch called Audio Blind Tester. The idea is that it
allows multiple people to evaluate a set of configurations and rate
which sounds preferable
Since I upgraded to 7.7.1, a few weeks ago, my Touch was pretty much on
time without the need for NTP. Then, last week, all of sudden, it lost
3 minutes. Time to reinstall NTP ;-)
I decided to update the tarballs with the latest fixes to the init
file, all the rest remained unchanged.
If you

I've updated the Usb Audio Output applet to hopefully parse these values

I've tried USB audio 0.3 (I hope that's the right one) and it still
doesn't work with my 2706 based DAC. It just continuously
