that's because you are using 7.6.1 for your SbS according to your sig.
If you connect to mysqueezebox.com it will change your firmware to

The Win7 machine is Ethernet + WiFi, and the system is in fact very
stable.
The quirkiness I mention is less in operation, but in any upgrading,
or even just switching between music sources (MySB.com included). I'm

Fair point. Perhaps another answer is to upgrade the family..

but I'd install 7.7.1 following my instructions and update the touch

I vaguely recall having to do the extra bit of install of some bit of

I think it was some sort of error or something with the Auto Update,
after I saw the thread about people getting the message to upgrade the
MS Visual ++, it was suggested to ignore that and go to the direct
download site and install from that installer. I did that and didn't

Read this thread. Can anyone comment on the differences between the
free Logitech app for iDevices that controls SB Touch and the iPeng app
members are mentioning?
I currently use the free Logitech app on my iPod Touch 4G and it works
great - why should I consider the iPeng?
Thanks.

Thanks for that - the thread you mention does rather support my own
frustrations with SqueezeBox software. When it works, it's utterly
brilliant. But it spends a lot of time (or a lot of occasions, which
is different) not working, and going backwards before going forwards.
And it can frustrate
Hi,
I am a new user on the SB Touch. I have only one problem I have been
unable to solve.
When the Touch boots up all works well, I can either select 'My Music'
or 'Internet Radio'.
If I select 'My Music' and play it for any amount of time, when I go
back to the Home page, the Internet Radio has
...as I am seriously considering an Ayre QB-9, a well-regarded DAC (that
only offers a single asynchrous USB digital input) as an upgrade to my
Stello DA100 Signature - which has five digital inputs.
Right now the SB Touch feeds the DA100 Singature via SPDIF on RCA.
I have made Dyno-bots
iPeng has playback integrated, so you can use iPeng as both a controller
and a squeezebox player. On an iPhone, everything could be setup that
you could play from your squeezebox server over the internet in your
car or where ever. There is a separate app that is only a player that
you can get
among other things mentioned, ipeng has party mode, allows you to
switch a player from local LMS to mysb.com (or back) from ipeng, and
generally has lots of good features. My decades old honda gets me back

Well - fair enough: that seemed to work fine, both at the server level
and player firmware. Thanks to all.
Now if we could only solve the mystery of why BBC Radio streams have
stopped working on MySB.com

Indeed. And I dare say it will get sorted in time!

I'm surprised Pippin, the author of iPeng, does not do a side by side
comparison of his iPeng vs the free Logitech app.
iPeng has so many more features and benefits there really is no
comparison (once you know what those benefits are). ;)

Had the Archos 70 and HTC Desire both running the excellent
Squeezecommander.
Prior to these had a Ipod Touch running the excellent Ipeng.
I'm now the proud owner of a BB playbook best bit oftablet kit I've
ever used.
The specs are amazing for 169 and the user experience is great.
Negatives -
Are you using a computer with LMS server installed on it? Or are you
using the Touch by itself via USB/SD?

Yes your right. On further listening I can hear faint pops. Thank you
for the clarification. I will get a hub as you have suggested.

I purchased an AudioEngine D1 for headphone listening and tried it via

placed that in circuit. Clicks were gone, and I could observe the
