Ah-ha! I do use MySB.com.. Oddly, yesterday I decided to upgrade the server to LMS. When I tried, it asked me to install MS Visual C++. I did so, but then the Upgrade option in SqueezeboxServer vanished. I'm a longtime Squeezebox user, and I love my systems to death. But I'm

The Win7 machine is Ethernet + WiFi, and the system is in fact very stable. The quirkiness I mention is less in operation, but in any upgrading, or even just switching between music sources (MySB.com included). I'm away from home for long stretches, and find that I spend a good chunk of time by

no comment on upgrading family ;-) but I'd install 7.7.1 following my instructions and update the touch firmware. Then I'd turn OFF all autoupdate functions, notifications, etc. This is the sort of thing that would drive your family crazy. Anyhow, updating immediately with SbS/LMS software is

I'm surprised Pippin, the author of iPeng, does not do a side by side comparison of his iPeng vs the free Logitech app. iPeng has so many more features and benefits there really is no comparison (once you know what those benefits are). ;) -- toby10
