my personal opinion is that trying to use the USB out of the touch is

well an easier way is not to use the USB and use S/PDIF coax or OPTICAL

the EDO/USB that requires your reboot evidently. And by the

Thanks, The reason for rebot is to switch from USB to analog so i can a)

Yes. I understand. That's why I recommended optical or spdif instead of
usb where a reboot is likely not
But if i use optical or coax from the SBT to the Oppo, i dont believe
that will solve my problems with using my multiroom on my marantz?

No, but at least you won't have to reboot to switch between digital and
analog. Why do you require the USB connection?
Thanks Gary, Im only rebooting because wht SBT does it automatically
when i switch the audio output from oppo dac to analog/digital.I'm
afraid that i'll need to do the same when switching from optical into
the oppo and rCA from SBT to marantz.

Try it as a test. I don't think
Thanks gary. Will do. I wanted to use the USC to take advantage of the

But using optical and spdif out of the touch will use the oppo Dac too.
Either I'm confused or you are. ;-)
And touch will handle hires 24/96. 24/192 with edo even if using spdif
or optical. Although someone posted that oppo only handles 24/96. Don't
know.

How do I get the Podcasts player from Extras on my second Touch device
and on my Orange Squeeze players? I really don't want any decencies to
my account on mysqueezebox.com anymore.
Thanks for reminding me about how badly broken the Podcast handling
currently is :-).
I decided to re-write

Oh, that is really great news to hear, Michael! :-)
Is it certain we will see a version 7.8 now that Logitech has
discontinued the Squeezebox devices?

There most likely will not be any Logitech released version 7.8. But it's
available to the community. And I'm running it myself (have been doing so
for months). Give it a try and keep bug
All right, had to do some google'ing. Haven't looked at LMS betas and
nightlies before.
But found the Logitech Media Server 7.8 repository:

OK, I remember visiting this issue once before. I had already had my
Playlist length set to 5,000 and it works just fine for my Playlists,
but not MOG Playlists.
So, I have a couple of questions.
1. Well, it's a performance index. Everything will get slower. Only if
you actually play a large playlist, though. The problem is that there's
a lot of information being processed for each item. Got better with
recent server versions, though.
2. Yes, I believe the limit is hard coded for
