Is it certain we will see a version 7.8 now that Logitech has discontinued the Squeezebox devices?
There most likely will not be any Logitech released version 7.8. But it's available to the community. And I'm running it myself (have been doing so for months). Give it a try and keep bug reports coming. There isn't much development going on right now. Which means newly introduce bugs should be found rather quickly.
