I thought you could update the firmware using an SD card?
Found this, not read it through though.

I don't have a Touch to test this ... but perhaps the (format of the)
USB stick is incompatible.
The Wiki says it supports lots of formats - but perhaps not for firmware
update. Or it might not like the stick at all (the Wiki does show some
had problems).

When you hooked the Touch to Ethernet, are you sure it was connected to
the internet? Like I mentioned on the other linked thread (post #2) The
Touch _with_later_firmware_ will not proceed past the Choose Language
screen if it can not get an internet connection. With older firmware you
can bypass
"Suddenly won't log in to wifi"
"Stuck on the language screen"
Faulty PSU could cause problems like that, with insufficient current
delivery to permit a bootup from factory reset.
You could get a suitable power supply on Ebay.
5vdc - at least 3amp - 2.5mm centre + connector.

No I haven't. Is that worth investing in? There seems to be no problem
with the power, it starts up perfectly well.

Quite right - he also said that he had tried factory reset which I
presume would also have reset the networking to DHCP for everything.
He could still have mis-configured the DHCP server :-)

Quite right - he also said that he had tried factory reset which I

I know that there are repairers in Germany and Canada who are great at
fixing Boom and I think SB2/SB3 but not sure if they do Touch.

Temporarily move it closer to your router and plug in an Ethernet
cable.
OP said he tried that? But I wonder whether his DHCP setup is wrong, or
whether he tried to manually configure the device's network (either
through fixed DHCP address or directly) and got that wrong.

Also - could try a factory reset

My Squeezebox Touch suddenly won't log in to wifi. I pressed reset to
revert to factory settings but now, when the screen comes up it's stuck
on the Language screen and I can't proceed. I've done this several
times now with no result.
Is there any solution please?
